Are you really spending time in lake, pool, or the beach this summer? Becoming lively as the temperatures rise? By working the big and little muscle groups in your body, these shore body moves lift, tighten, and sculpt all over. That leaves you with the best beach body, quickly! These moves can be completed by you as a circuit or add them to your own workout routine.
These obviously aren’t the usual muscles associated with the beach, but I live next to a corn field, so cut me some slack. Anyway, it gave birth to the 5/3/1 “Beach Body” Challenge.
The key to the challenge is that performance is the main goal, not aesthetics. I always focus on performance. I believe that when one has a concrete training goal – for example, “press 300 pounds, box jump 45″, and run a 6:30 mile” – training becomes more focused and goals become real. - Push ups: Push ups are an excellent mix exercise that tone your arms, torso, back, shoulders, and abs. This mix work out technique can help you incinerate fat fast! I’ve been putting together some flyers to promote my new boxing classes. And the inner marketing degree holder in me was looking for a catchy headline to draw attention to the poster. Instantly I thought, “ah, it’s almost summer… maybe I should say something about beach bodies, or bikini bodies.” And then I realised that goes against all my principles as a health coach and trainer. When working with my clients I never encourage them to focus on weight loss or how they look. It’s all about how they feel… do their clothes feel more comfortable, do they have more energy, do they feel inspired and motivated by life? The only thing you need for a beach body is access to a beach!
